HTC Thunderbolt Running Das BAMF 3.0 RC4.9 Gingerbread 2.3.4

There seems to be a little confusion with Das BAMF’s builds RC 4.9 and RC5. It seems RC5 would be a later built, but it’s not. RC5 was just a “preview”. If you’re looking to install a custom ROM and would like the latest as of today from Das BAMF, then you’ll want RC 4.9. Every one keeps saying this is the most stable version. You can click here to download RC4.9.

I have not noticed any changes from RC5 to RC4.9 and I have not experienced any stability issues. Both ROMs have worked great for me. However, Hulu+ does NOT work for me. It always crashes after I try to start playing a video file. NetFlix is still OK for me. As far as everything else goes, Das BAMF is still a snappy ROM and I haven’t experienced any random reboots or ‘Force Close’ messages.

As usual, your HTC Thunderbolt will have to rooted and you’ll have to download the ROM Manager app from the Android Market so you can install this custom Gingerbread ROM from your SD card. If you have questions or need help, please post a comment!

If you appreciate the download link, then please like me on Facebook on the home page in the upper right-hand corner of the site. I post download links to avoid users from going to RapidShare and being bombarded with ads and throttled download speeds.

  1. Link is down

    • I had to take the file down because I am running out of bandwidth with my hosting provider. I will probably switch hosts tomorrow that offers “unlimited bandwidth” (Ok, not truly unlimited, but I’m sure they’ll offer me more than the 60GB I am currently getting from my hosting provider).

So anyways, for the time being, please locate the download on a site such as RapidShare, MegaUpload, etc.

    • FYI- Link is back up. I’ve also posted the MR2 radio update for all Gingerbread ROMs and I’ve also posted the files required to root your HTC Thunderbolt. Let me know if you’re looking or anything else.
